	Although Barrhill itself does not have a golf course there are courses at Turnberry, Girvan, Newton Stewart and Dailly. Turnberry, which is famous for its championship golf course and luxurious hotel, is situated on the coast roughly 3 miles north of Girvan. The ruined Turnberry castle is also an interesting historical attraction, being the place where Robert the Bruce grew up. The castle sits right on the coast next to the lighthouse.
