DOG FOULING AND USE OF POOP BAGS

The Community Council would like to remind dog owners that "poop" bags are available free of charge from the village shop.
Please be considerate to other members of the community and clean up after your dogs misdeeds.

The use of "poop" bags has been successful in helping to keep the village clean but some people are still being inconsiderate in having very kindly bagged their dogs poop they have then just hung the bag in a nearby bush or tree. Being a generous soul I would like to think that they were put there with the intention of collecting them on the return journey of their walk rather than a deliberate act. Please dispose of "poop" bags in a hygienic and environmentaly friendly way.

The works will include the upgrade of the traffic signals, new footways and resurfacing of the carriageway. It is proposed that this project will be completed within a 6 week schedule, starting on Monday 21st October.

The refurbishment of the traffic signals and footways will be completed under a 4 week period using temporary signals and lane closures. The resurfacing of the trunk road is then proposed to take place under a weekend closure. All works will be completed ahead of the busy Christmas period.

8am to 6pm each day for four weeks from Monday 21st October
8pm on Friday 15th until 6am on Monday 18th November, resurfacing of A77 trunk road

All trunk road traffic will be diverted from Shallochpark Roundabout via Coalpots Road and the B734 to Bridgemill Roundabout, from the 21 October until works are completed. Local traffic for Girvan will be signed 'Business as Usual' for deliveries, shoppers and residents.

Footpath to Feoch Meadows

This was created as part of the forestry development on what was Artnoch land jointly funded by Tilhill and BCC. There are marker post along the path. Footing is uneven in places and there is one steep section. Signposts are now in place at the start of the footpath.

The footpath leads from next to Feoch bridge on the A714 (parking for 4/5 cars) up to Feoch Meadows and is approximately 1 mile in length (1.6km). There are bridges over the deeper cuts but you can still expect there to be boggy patches, not too surprising as this is a site well known for its Marsh Orchids.

Footpath to Feoch Meadows

This was created as part of the forestry development on what was Artnoch land jointly funded by Tilhill and BCC. There are marker post along the path. Footing is uneven in places and there is one steep section. Signposts at the start and end of the path have been funded by the small grants scheme run by the Community Council but are not yet in place.

Speed still dips in the evenings but this is probably due to the server end not the connection.

For those nearer the exchange speeds will be greater for those outside the village the speeds will reduce according to distance from the exchange.
