The 2024 dates for skips in the village are listed below. It is important that this service is maintained and not abused or they will be withdrawn. Please read the notice on the shop window and on here on the lead up to skip arrival in the village.
THIS SKIP IS FOR SMALL ITEMS ONLY, LARGE ITEMS PROHIBITED - FOR LARGE ITEMS CALL 08457 697520
Please ensure that the area around the skip is free of any waste.
PLEASE DO NOT OVERFILL AS IT HAS TO BE LOCKED EACH EVENING ON INSTRUCTIONS OF S.E.P.A.
Hazardous Type Waste
The following waste types should Never be placed in a skip (new limitations in bold type):
• Materials Container Persistent Organic Polluntants (POPs) :
Sofas, Sofa Beds, Armchairs, Kitchen and Dining Room Chairs, Stools and Foot Stools, Home Officer Chairs, Futons, Bean Bags, Floor and Sofa Cushions, Electrical Recliner Chairs.
• Tyres
• Liquids
• Oils
• Paints
• Acids/alkalis
• Batteries
• Garden chemicals
• Industrial chemicals
• Dead animals
• Asbestos
• Clinical waste e.g. needles
Please note that this list is not exhaustive. If you are unsure of any household waste that you want to deposit in a skip, please contact a member of our waste and recycling team through 0300 123 0900 for advice.
Please note that if any of the above items are found in the Barrhill
skip it will lead to the cancellation of skips to the village.
The following dates for SAC skips are allFridays and the skip will be removed on the Monday. The BDT skips dates vary.
